My favorite way to personalize a home, whether it be my home or a client’s home, is placing framed photographs of family and places traveled on tables and bookshelves. I like to select one finish and mix up various sizes and styles of frames.

Show off your personality with pillows. They are inexpensive, come in multiple patterns and colors and can be switched out with the seasons or when your mood changes! Purchasing a few accent pillows is a great way to add your flair and achieve instant gratification on any budget.

3. Monograms
Your initials are your stamp on your space. Add your monogram to hand towels, pillows, door mats, and wall art.

4. Include Vintage Pieces in Your Decor
Do you have a piece of china or a vase from your grandmother? Include it in your decor. Whether your style is industrial, contemporary or traditional, you can always include pretty, vintage pieces that have been handed down from your family.
I have a special fondness for hobnail milk glass. I have one piece from my grandmother and I have collected a few other small pieces here and there. My favorite piece is a small vase. Place your favorite flowers in a vase, pitcher or compote. You can even float flowers (without a stem) in a shallow bowl with water.

5. Framed Children’s Art
